Berlusconi and others were accused of buying US film rights at inflated prices via two offshore companies under his control. Berlusconi is expected to appeal of course, but in the meantime, Mediaset shares fell nearly 3 percent after the ruling and you can almost hear the Italian people take a big sigh of relief.
