    Can it really be?! Has justice finally been served?! They tried to get him for organizing prostitution parties, they tried to get him for having sexual encounters with minors, they tried to get him for tax evasion.and today finally it looks like they hit the jackpot. An Italian court sentenced former prime minister Silvio Berlusconi, to four years in jail for tax fraud in connection with the purchase of broadcasting rights, by his Mediaset television company. Berlusconi and others were accused of buying US film rights at inflated prices via two offshore companies under his control. Berlusconi is expected to appeal of course, but in the meantime, Mediaset shares fell nearly 3 percent after the ruling and you can almost hear the Italian people take a big sigh of relief.

    Citi is fined $2 million by Massachusetts regulator over Facebook IPO, after research analysts improperly disclosed confidential information about Facebook ‘s initial public offering. The regulator said, Citigroup Global Markets Group violated state securities laws, when one of its top analysts failed to supervise a junior colleague, who emailed confidential information about the bank’s views on financials for Facebook.

    Right on time for the hottest Halloweenparties, here in the US we are getting ready for the Frankenstorm, aka Hurricane Sandy. Hurricane Sandy has swept north over the Bahamas towards the US, having reportedly killed 21 people as it tore through Cuba, Haiti and Jamaica. Sandy has weakened back to a category one hurricane, now with maximum sustained winds of 80 miles per hour, but forecasters warn it could still pose a threat to the east coast of the US. So get ready for the Frankenstorm everyone.
