Let the frenzy begin. Buy one get one free! Take’em while it’s hot! Don’t know how to use them? No worries! Plenty of youtube video instructions you can look at! As we might have expected, the number of people who now want to purchase a firearm in Colorado has increased drastically. Applications for background checks that are required to obtain a gun legally, have gone up by 43% compared to the previous week. With a government that is inept to stopping shooting sprees like the one in Aurora, we shouldn’t be too surprised that people want to find ways to protect themselves, but do remember that James Holmes, whose profile doesn’t seems to fit the usual mental illness profile, passed this background check. And do bear in mind that there is always a slight possibility, that out of those 43% increased gun sales one or more guns, might get into the hands of another lunatic. So I suggest keep them loaded people, whether you are in the supermarket, at the movies or having a casual coffee with friends. Always be vigilant. And for any doubters out there, no this is not anarchy. This is normal American people trying to do what the US government is failing to do for them. On the bright side, Christian Bale has made a surprise visit to the survivors in solidarity of this horrendous crime, not many of us will forget, and one that should never have happened. Our thoughts are with the families and friends who lost their loved ones.

Manchester airport is making headlines this morning, and not exactly because of its incredible new security measures! In fact, an 11 year old boy was able to pass security, board a plane and fly all the way to Rome, without a passport, nor boarding pass. Cheeky little bugger, mingled with another family to get through security. Not sure how he got on the plane without boarding pass, but it was not until the plane of Jet2 airline, was airborn and mid air, that passengers started to get suspicious. A couple of staff were suspended, but passengers were assured that the boy went through a full security check before boarding the plane. So did the underwear bomber. Anyhoo, the boy was flown back to Manchester and I am sure he had quite a few questions to answer to his mum, whom he had left at a mall to go straight to the airport. Child services should have a look into this I think.

For those who are concerned about the wellbeing of our mother nature. Satellites have revealed a sudden Greenland ice melt, that was so quick, that scientists call it an extraordinary phenomenon. According to research, such rapid ice melt has not been reported since 1889. It yet unclear whether it is a natural yet rare event, or if this is happening because of man made actions, affecting the climate. This news comes shortly after a big glacier, the size of Manhattan, had broken off in Greenland. Maybe Al Gore was right after all.
