Northeastern State University Officially Launches Campus Safety Mobile App “GuardianSentral” Developed by Tulsa-Based Illume Mobile

TULSA, OK–(Marketwire -03/13/12)- Northeastern State University (NSU), in conjunction with MacroSolve, Inc., doing business as Illume Mobile (Pinksheets: MCVE.PK – News) (OTCQB: MCVE.PK – News) (“MacroSolve,” “Illume Mobile” or the “Company”), a leading provider of mobile technologies, apps and solutions for business, today announced the official launch of the GuardianSentral™ mobile app for all three campuses in Tahlequah, Broken Arrow and Muskogee. GuardianSentral is a safety and security smartphone app for iPhone and Android users which can be downloaded through popular app stores.

GuardianSentral utilizes mobile technology to provide an additional level of campus safety for college students. Students attending any of the three NSU campuses can download the app for free, which is integrated into existing campus systems to provide real time security monitoring and action.

Illume Mobile CEO and President, Steve Signoff, commented, “Our software leverages the use of wireless, GPS and touchscreen technology, creating a solution that supports campus police officers in protecting their student populations. The level of interest and input we have received from college and even corporate campuses is very encouraging.”

Although standard blue safety phones are found on most college campuses, they are not accessible everywhere. The GuardianSentral app bridges that gap and provides a safety net at students’ fingertips. The app only works when a student activates it so campus police are not able to monitor the student’s every move unless desired.

There are three modes: Danger, Check-In and Follow Me. The Danger mode will notify the police and dispatch will instantly know the user’s location via GPS. For Check-In mode, campus police will be notified if the student does not make it to their destination by a preset time and they can use the GPS tracker to locate the student. The Follow Me mode tracks students from one location to another to make sure they arrive safely.

“The safety of our students, faculty, and staff has long been a priority of Northeastern State University,” said NSU President Steve Turner. “GuardianSentral is another tool to ensure that our students have direct and real-time access to law enforcement as they move from building to building. We have many students who take night classes and attend events in the evening hours. The utilization of the most innovative technologies should enhance their perception of campus safety.

“I applaud the efforts of Campus Police Chief Patti Buhl and all others involved in making this technology available. I also want to thank our professional police partners in Tahlequah, Broken Arrow and Muskogee for supporting the implementation of this service at NSU.”

With the rollout of GuardianSentral at Northeastern State University, Illume Mobile is marketing the GuardianSentral app to colleges, universities and large corporations nationwide through its growing sales and distribution channels.
