Pope Benedict, the pope who will go down in history for breaking the wall between the Vatican and social media by joining Twitter, has beaten out 18-year old heartthrob Justin Bieber in re-tweeting by his followers. The Vatican newspaper wrote about it and said that as of noon Italian time on Thursday the pope had 2.1 million followers on Twitter, eight days after his first tweet was sent. With 31.7 million followers Bieber has roughly 15 times as many followers, but the Vatican newspaper said Benedict had beaten Bieber on re-tweets. These news are a prefect representative our pop culture and you gotta love it. From now on it’s Justin vs. Benedict!

Only on the Internet could you find two tech companies competing to track Santa. Last week NORAD, which has tracked Santa since 1955, announced its new Internet Santa service. While it still tracks Santa and his reindeer on Christmas, it replaced Google Maps with Microsoft’s Bing Maps. But Google’s not giving up on the business of tracking Mr. Claus. Using its Google Earth and Google Maps products, the Internet search giant is tracking Santa on its own this year, with a new algorithm. So that means you’ve got two Santa tracker options to pick from, starting Christmas Eve. As of right now according to Google over 540,000,000 presents have been delivered and right now Santa is in Singapore! But according to NORAD over 1,5 billion presents have been delivered and Santa is now headed for Vietnam. Make sure to put double portions of cookies and milk cause it sure looks like we have two Santas headed our way, and let’s thank both Santa’s for not using Apple Maps this year!
