In breaking news this morning, the U.S. unemployment rate fell to its lowest level in over 3½ years in September, as the US economy continued to add jobs, which could definitely be a sign that President Barack Obama, might have been doing something right after all! The unemployment rate dropped to 7.8% and just so that you get an idea, the unemployment rate in Spain for example, as of July this year is at around 25%. Employers in the US added 114,000 workers to their payrolls, so things are looking up folks! Who will you be voting for? Post your comments!

Britain said it will be extraditing Islamist cleric Abu Hamza al-Masri to the United States as soon as possible, after the radical preacher failed in a last-ditch legal attempt to avoid deportation on Friday. Washington accuses the Egyptian-born 54-year-old of supporting al Qaeda, aiding a kidnapping in Yemen, and plotting to open a U.S. training camp for militants. Abu Hamza was once a preacher at a North London mosque, but was later convicted in Britain of encouraging murder and racial hatred. He also put himself in the spotlight, for praising the September 11, 2001 attacks on the United States. A crowd of about 100 people protested outside the court, shouting “Free Abu Hamza” and holding banners reading “Stop extraditions” and “democracy = hypocrisy.” Abu Hamza, who could be sent to an ultra-secure “Supermax” prison with a sentence of more than 100 years, has argued that he faces inhumane treatment in the United States. Noooo.

After bringing us the hit character of Ali G, Borat and the Dictator, Sacha Baron Cohen has now decided on his next project: A film based on the story of a high-flying Hong Kong billionaire, offering $65 million to the man who could win over his lesbian daughter with a marriage proposal. Fantastic idea for a movie, and believe it or not is based on a true story! Cecil Chao, the Chinese chipping tycoon, and his socialite daughter, Gigi, made headlines last week when he reportedly told a Chinese newspaper, that he’s looking for a beau for her and is willing to give the lucky man $65 million as a wedding gift! Nevermind that his 33-year-old had “a church blessing in Paris” with her girlfriend of several years, she told The Associated Press. While homosexuality was decriminalized in Hong Kong in 1991, same-sex marriages are not legal. Gigi, meanwhile, was very gracious and amused by all of the attention, and we certainly can’t wait to see Sasha Baron Coen’s take on this!
