At around 13.15 GMT President Barack Obama will take the podium to address the United Nations, and is expected to warn Iran, that the United States will do what must be done, to prevent it acquiring a nuclear weapon. President Obama is also expected to appeal to world leaders, for a united front against further attacks on U.S. diplomatic missions, in Muslim countries. Only 6 weeks before the presidential elections, Obama hopes to counter criticism by Republican rival Mitt Romney, who has accused him of mishandling the Arab Spring uprisings, damaging ties with Israel and not being tough enough on Iran. Now Obama is trying to show that he is anything but weak on the matter and is expected to tell the U.N. General Assembly, that there is still time for a diplomacy but that “time is not unlimited”. In the meantime, Iran’s leader Ahmadinejad, stated loud and clear and once again, that Israel has no roots in the Middle East and will be eliminated. Israel in the meantime appears to be gearing up for a pre-emptive strike. What do you guys out there think? Is Ahmadinejad blowing hot air? Should Israel conduct a pre-emptive strike? I think Ahmadinejad is all talk no do.well at least I hope sincerely hope so.
No good news for iPhone 5 users yet. Google’s executive chairman Eric Schmidt, said that Google has made no move to provide Google Maps for the iPhone 5 after Apple dropped the application in favor of a home-grown but controversial alternative, and by controversial I mean malfunctioning. Users have complained that Apple’s new map app, which is based on Dutch navigation equipment and digital map maker TomTom NV’s data, features obvious geographical errors and lacks features that made Google Maps so popular. Stop acting out Apple, you are already banking record numbers in sales, I say just put Google Maps in the App Store. You tried we know you tried, but sometimes a great warrior must know how to accept defeat!
And here a hot stock tip for you guys. and a beautiful example how everything is our beautiful world is interlinked. Even finance and music! I am sure you all have heard of the pop star whose song “Gangnam Style” became the first Korean hit to top Apple’s music download charts. Well the success of this song, has also worked magic on the singer’s father’s software firm, helping it double in value since singer and dancer Psy burst onto the global scene in July. Psy’s father, Park Won-ho, is the chairman and controlling shareholder of South Korean semiconductor company D I Corp and its market cap has surged to 113.5 billion won (a little over 100 million dollas) on the main Seoul bourse, making it as of today the 459th most valuable stock measured by size.
