Implant Sciences Gains Increasing Traction in U.S. Market
Company Announces New Clients in Law Enforcement and Federal Security
WILMINGTON, MA–(Marketwire -10/11/11)- Implant Sciences Corporation (OTCQB: IMSC.PK – News) (Pinksheets: IMSC.PK – News), a high technology supplier of systems and sensors for homeland security markets, today announced new sales of its Quantum Sniffer™ QS-H150 portable explosives trace detector into the domestic U.S. market, where the Company has recently increased its sales and marketing efforts. All of these sales were made to new customers.
QS-H150 systems were sold for law enforcement applications in Mississippi and Massachusetts, including K-9 team support. The search capabilities of the specially trained explosives detection dogs are complemented by the substance identification and screening capabilities of the Quantum Sniffer.
Implant Sciences’ recent U.S. sales also include systems for maintaining the physical security of occupants and resources at a U.S. Federal Facility. The portability of the QS-H150 was a key factor in its selection for implementing the countermeasures recommended by Federal Facilities Standards.
Glenn D. Bolduc, President and CEO of Implant Sciences, stated, “In 2010, the Company publicly announced new strategic initiatives designed to showcase its patented Quantum Sniffer QS-H150 Portable Explosives Detection system for use in the United States. The new clients we are announcing today provide evidence that this strategy is working and that we are reaping the benefits of our recent investments to expand our domestic sales and marketing efforts.”
“The U.S. markets for supporting law enforcement and security at strategic U.S. Federal Facilities represent significant opportunities for the Company,” added Bruce Bower, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “Our Quantum Sniffer devices are designed for non-contact, non-radioactive detection, making them an ideal tool for use in homeland security, law enforcement and infrastructure protection.”
